I wanted to try and recreate a traditional Japanese woodblock print using “Western” printmaking material. I used multiple blocks of linoleum and oil based inks to reproduce a this print by Kawase Hasui. This is sort of a hybrid print technique that worked out well! I always learn from these experimental reproduction projects by the “Old Master’s.”
